Designed to Australian Standards

Our shelters are designed and built in accordance with the Building Code of Australia (Class 10A structures) SEC AS/NZS 4100/4600 and AS 1562.1

Our Materials

We use Lysaght minimum 350g/m2 coated roll-formed GALVASPAN® steel complying with AS1397 with a mimimum yield stress of 450MPa for our framing.  Our cladding is geniune Australian BlueScope Colorbond® and Zincalume®.  Our shelters are covered by Bluescope’s Warranty up to 30 years on materials.

Steel Vs Timber

The use of Australian steel provides many advantages over conventional treated pine or hardwood timber including:

  • Superior strength   
  • Ember protection  
  • Corrosion Resistance   
  • Insect and Termite Resistance   
  • Greater stability and durability   
  • Our steel framework cannot be chewed by hungry horses.

Wind Rating

Our shelters are designed to withstand winds of up to N3/W41 conditions in accordance with Wind Classification AS4055:2012.

Flexibility of DIY Kits

We offer competitive pricing on Shelter Kits which will save you money.  You can choose to build them yourself of engage a tradesperson or handyman and save yourself $$$.

Public Liability

Aussie Equine Products have Public Liability Cover of $10 million, so you know that you are in safe hands.
